The Lakers have been a team plagued with injuries all season long, with Rajon Rondo and LeBron James both missing extended periods of time. During the third quarter of the game against the Houston Rockets on Saturday night, another Laker went down with what appeared to be a bad injury. Lonzo Ball left the game after turning his left ankle on an offensive possession.
Lonzo Ball just turned his left ankle and was carried off the court by Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley. He’d been playing really well.

Ball was unable to put any weight on his left leg, suggesting that this injury might be more serious than anyone would like it to be.

According to the ABC broadcast, Ball was in a wheelchair on his way to get X-Rays.

This report was later confirmed by Bill Oram, who added that Ball had to be taken to a local hospital due to the X-Ray machine at the Toyota Center not working. The Lakers are calling the injury a sprained left ankle, but things certainly look worse for the second year point guard.
Lonzo Ball is being taken to a local hospital for X-rays. Apparently the machine at Toyota Center is not working. Lakers are only calling it a sprained left ankle.

The x-rays for Lonzo Ball have come back negative for fractures.
A bit of good news for the Lakers while they try to hang onto this one. Lonzo Ball's X-Rays were negative for fractures, per source.
