Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James would love to play on the same NBA court as his son, Bronny.
The Los Angeles Lakers accomplished their goal of landing a superstar this summer when they signed LeBron James. James committed to the Lakers long-term, agreeing to a four-year deal with the organization.
Despite being 34-years old, James is still staking a legitimate claim as the best player in the NBA. He has not disappointed in his first season in Los Angeles, averaging 28.1 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. Those are incredible numbers for any player, let alone someone playing in their 16th season in the league.
To remain at the top of his game for this long takes many factors. James has not suffered any debilitating injuries (knock on wood) and takes incredible care of his body.
James spends $ 1.5 million annually to keep himself in shape. That includes a number of things, such as his home gym, trainers, chefs, therapists and different appliances to help keep him in peak condition.

Whatever he is doing, it is working. James shows no signs of slowing down, as he is holding off Father Time, who is undefeated. How long James is able to continue at this pace is anyone’s guess, but he is hoping it is long enough that he can share the court with his oldest son, LeBron James Jr.
During a recent appearance on the Tim Ferriss Show, James spoke about the possibility of playing with his son, Bronny, and how much he would enjoy it.
“I would love to see the floor with my son. My son is in the eighth grade now. If he continues on the path that he’s on right now, he could possibly be in the NBA in five or six years. That would be an unbelievable moment for not only myself but my family. For everybody. So we’ll see. Obviously, taking care of the body is No. 1, and we will continue to do that. But more importantly, taking care of the mind. If your mind is not fresh, then your body will fall at the wayside. So through the grace of the man above and through everything that myself and Mike and my support team do, that would be pretty doggone cool if I’m able to be on an NBA floor with my oldest son.”
James and his son were recently in the news, as he teased the possibility that his son could attend Duke. However, as he stated, we are years away from this potentially coming to fruition.
Bronny has shown excellent skills for a player his age, but forecasting someone’s future is not an easy thing. There is no guarantee that Bronny will make it all the way to the NBA, let alone play at a high-level D-1 college.
There are other factors outside of Bronny’s skill set that could come into play as well, such as the NBA changing the one-and-done rule. That could change the timeline of Bronny reaching the NBA.
Seeing James and his son on an NBA court together would be quite a sight. Imagine them matching up against each other on opposing teams? That may be something people want to see even more than the two of them teaming up together.
