Starting on Christmas day, fans of the NBA all-around the globe are now able to start voting for their favorite players to play in the NBA’s 68th 2019 NBA All-Star Game, which will be held in Charlotte on February 17th at the Spectrum Center. The NBA announced changes to the voting process, as fans will no longer be able to vote on Twitter using the hashtag #NBAVote. Votes will now be cast on NBA.com, through the Google assistant connected devices, on Google by searching “NBA vote” or “NBA All-Star Vote”, or by Google searching your favorite player or team. Fans can also vote through the NBA app.

Voting will conclude Monday, January 21st at 11:59 pm EST. Last year LeBron James and Stephen Curry were the leading vote-getters for the East and West respectfully. Both figure to be the top two leading vote-getters in the Western Conference this year, now that James has joined the Lakers. That will determine who the captain of the Western Conference is to pick their team. Just a casual reminder that the All-Star Game rosters are now picked by captains, the leading vote-getter of the West and the leading vote-getter from the East. LeBron is looking to be the first Laker to start or play in the All-Star Game since Kobe Bryant played in the 65th Edition of the NBA All-Star Game in 2016 in Toronto.

Fans can fill out one full all-star ballot every 24 hours. So Lakers fans will have plenty of opportunities to vote in their favorite Lakers. We can all get out there using the NBA app, nba.com, and all of our Google connected devices to vote for LeBron James, Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball and the rest of our favorite Lakers once every 24 hours. The change of not being able to tweet and vote will surely cut down on the number of votes the All-Stars receive.
